New single "Just Friends (Stripped)" Out Now

Hello friends! I’m so excited to be sharing a new single with you! “Just Friends (Stripped)” is available now on all streaming platforms.
Celebrating the second anniversary of my 2020 album Heirloom, this intimate new version of “Just Friends” is stripped down to its jazzy essentials. Piano, bass and lovely background vocals blend to create a soothing landscape for this bruising story of a complicated past love.
I initially created this recording as an Unreleased Song of the Month feature for folks over on Patreon, but it turned out so nicely that I decided to release it for real! I’ve been seeing a lot of other artists releasing alternate versions of the songs - stripped down, remixed, re-arranged, sometimes even dramatically sped up or slowed down - and I really love the different character that appears when we explore different possibilities. I love that my Patreon subscribership was the motivation behind this song coming into existence!

I’m excited to announce that I’ve made a custom batch of wearable acrylic Crissi Cochrane pins featuring my pet orange canary Mr. Moo! He was a sad little friend when we got him, and we were told that he doesn’t sing. With lots of love and comfort, he turned into a beautiful orange puff ball who sings incessantly (and has even been featured on one of our recordings in the past!).
