My song "The Key" is in a Dairy Queen ad!

I got a wonderful email last night, telling me that my song “The Key” has received a placement in a Dairy Queen Canada ad! How wonderful!
The ad features their delicious heart-shaped ice cream cakes for Valentine’s Day. I might have to get myself one (or several?!) to celebrate! You can watch the ad over on my Instagram page.
“The Key” is one of the songs on my 2014 album Little Sway, available on all streaming platforms. It’s a really upbeat, fun, feel-good tune that I actually wrote about experiencing writers’ block while all of my friends were writing really great songs. It’s kind of a plea to my inspiration to come back to me. I love that you can hear the nice horn melodies towards the end of the clip, with saxophones played by Drew Jurecka. So cool that this recording from so many years ago is still doing some great things!
