New Live Video: "Santa Baby"

Crissi Cochrane

I’m pleased to share with you a new live performance video of “Santa Baby”!

Now - I know I’ve already covered this tune before. And does an artist really need more than one version of a particular cover? Maybe not. But I was asked to create a little two-song virtual concert for the Downtown Windsor BIA’s Facebook page, and “Santa Baby” is just so quintessentially me. I figured, if anyone was discovering me for the first time, they’d probably enjoy this tune.

And sometimes, I do take a deep dive on YouTube and watch some of my live videos from years ago - and it surprises me how much my voice changes in just the span of a few years. I think this new version is actually still quite a bit different in the tone of my voice. It’s kinda neat to have both versions out in the world, for anyone who cares to compare.

The BIA is debuting these videos over on their Facebook page, and then I’m sharing them on my own YouTube channel afterwards. So, there’s one more video upcoming from this segment. And I can tell you that it’s a performance of the song “Christmas Island” - and I’ve already made it available to my supporters over on Patreon! If you want to get early access to this and other things by me, just head over to Patreon.com/CrissiCochrane and see if any of the pricing plans suit you.

Alright, time to go and get ready for tonight’s “Home For The Holidays” livestream in support of Ronald MacDonald House Charities. I’m so inordinately nervous for this one and I don’t know why! I guess it’s because I’m planning to play “This Christmas” and “Petit Papa Noel”, and I’m not exactly knocking those two tunes out of the park yet. And because it’s a new platform. And I have no idea how many people are going to tune in. (What if it’s a lot?) And I hope they don’t mind that I talk so much during the livestreams. They’re very different from a typical live show that way.
