Much to report! I spent last weekend down in Duncan's Cove with my friend Danny Boos shooting a music video for So Far Apart. The weather was pretty great (although cold!) and we even got to a porcupine (who we almost ran over, but we managed to honk at him until he scurried off) and several seals (who actually make some pretty haunting noises sometimes?).

Danny and the high-tech camera.

I also am working on some new button designs! So once again, when you place an order online, you get some free buttons. Also, when you sign up for my mailing list off-stage at shows, you get free buttons too.

This is my (pretty much) empty crate of CDs, meaning that this past weekend in Fredericton has been pretty good to me! I ended up playing a total of four hours at the New Brunswick Fine Craft Festival in Officer's Square, busking for a little bit outside the Farmer's Market on Saturday morning, and playing a really great show at Crumb's Cafe on Saturday evening. Thanks very much to Luke MacDonald of foodclothingshelter music for putting the show on, and Jordan Doucet and Ben Ross for sharing the stage with me.

I also had the pleasure of doing an interview with Andrew Olsvik of Fredericton-based blog All Andrew's Friends. Click here to check out the Interview (which will be added to the Press section shortly.

I've also uploaded three songs from the second day at the Fine Craft Festival. The videos are all up on Youtube - they're Kinda Late, a cover of Death Cab For Cutie's I Will Follow You Into The Dark and So Far Apart (below!).

Just updated the Photos section with wicked pictures that will be sumarized by the following thumbnails (that won't take you anywhere when clicked because it's been a long, long night)...

Also, I have officially updated the shows section to note that I will be performing with Owen (Mike Kinsella) during the Halifax Pop Explosion on October 24th at the Alderney Landing Theatre in Dartmouth, NS. Tickets will be $20 advance through ticketpro.ca.

Smiling? Laughing? Possibly telling an inappropriate joke?
This is what a live Crissi Cochrane looks like.

...and wouldn't you love to see it for yourself!? If you're in Fredericton this weekend, be sure to stop by Crumb's Cafe (551 King Street) on Saturday, September 5th to catch me with Jordan Doucet and Benjamin Ross (presented by foodclothingshelter music) at 8:00PM. Admission is only $5!

Additionally, feel free to swing by Officer's Square for the New Brunswick Fine Craft Festival the next morning on Sunday, September 6th around noon, where I will be playing. In both instances, don't forget a bit of cash for a copy of my Sampler which is super cute and helps me do awesome things like record albums in the States or make awesome tshirts (both of which are in those final planning stages!).

Alternately, if you are in Halifax, have a late lunch on Friday, September 18th, thus resulting in a late dinner, and why not go to Minstrels Gastropub (5472 Spring Garden Road) at 8:30pm for your meal? Especially when there'll be live entertainment provided by yours truly, and some folks called Stereo Penguin.

In summary, great things coming up soon! And keep checking back, I'll be announcing my Halifax Pop Explosion showcase very soon... and I'm sure you'll all be pleased (and maybe even a bit amused)...
