Look at the new tote bags! Just finished making them. There's ten of them in stock right now. I'll be selling them offstage at shows for $6 each - if you pick one up along with a copy of the new sampler, I'll knock $1 off of your total!

If you really want to pick one up but can't wait for a show, feel free to email me and we can work something out. <3

Hey folks, PayPal still is disagreeing with the supposed functionality of my Buy Now button for the new Sampler. However, I've discovered that if you just click the "Add to Cart" button and then click "Proceed to Checkout" on the following page, it'll work! So, head on to the store to order a copy!

Also, I will be playing in Berwick on July 11th. More details will come soon. Playing in Windsor this weekend was a lot of fun, thanks to everyone who came out! Hope to be back there soon :)

Hey folks!

Just got back some lovely photos from a shoot with Brian Larter of Aperture Studios. They'll make it to the photos section as soon as I can get at Photoshop! (You can see one of them here on the right, but things look terrible when you use Microsoft Paint).

Secondly, I was beginning to be seriously concerned that there hadn't been any sales of the Sampler online, only to realize today that the link isn't working at all. I've tried to create a new one but for some reason, no dice. I've emailed PayPal so hopefully the issue will be worked out soon. In the meantime, just ignore those Buy Now buttons (although they won't do anything, anyway).

I've added new shows to the aptly named shows section. I'll be performing in this year's Tunes at Noon concert series. From mid-July to the end of August, singer-songwriters will be showcasing their talents in downtown Halifax's parade square at noon three days a week. Also in the programme are artists Christina Martin, Steven Bowers, Rebekkah Higgs, Ruth Minnikin, Ryan Cook, David Myles, and many more. My performance will be on August 19th at noon, with Mary Stewart.

I will also be performing at this year's New Brunswick Fine Craft Festival held in Officer's Square on September 6th. My slot starts at 11:00AM, and admission is $2. You can catch me for free the previous morning at the Farmer's market, although I'd really like it if you threw me two bucks then, too, as I'll be trying to pay for my bus ticket back ;)

PayPal has not resolved my query about why the Buy Now button will not work for this item. To purchase it, please click the "Add to Cart" button, and then the "Proceed to Checkout" button on the next page. Thanks!

I got a letter in the mail this week, stating I've received funding from a grant I applied for in March. Hooray! This means I'll be able to start working on my album very soon. (Still hoping to have it out before the snow falls.)

Also, my song "Coming Home" has been placed in this week's podcast on blog North By East West.

I feel like the amount of people who stop by here regularly is a pretty intimate crowd, so for kicks I thought I'd let you know what's going on in my day planner for the next little while (that's right, I bought a dayplanner so I'd stop double-booking myself). On Monday, I'll be posing for some new photos - the plan involves a pretty lovely dress thanks to my friend Magen Hudak, who plays with me in the Gamma Gamma Rays. On Wednesday, our band will be playing at Gus' Pub (so, stop by!). I'm graduating from NSCC's Music Business program at a ceremony in less than two weeks, where I got the award for Highest Acheivement in my program (I'm such a nerd).

Also, I've been working on writing a waltz, being incredibly inspired by Iron and Wine's song "Flightless Bird". (Yes, I heard it in Twilight.) My old recording set-up doesn't work anymore, but yesterday I found a way to record very low-fi tracks. I made a rough sketch of my waltz and was thinking of putting it up here, and making these rough sketches a regular feature. I was going to put a poll in here, but trying to find one that didn't suck gave me a headache, so I guess I'll deliberate alone.

Don't forget the shows on the 11th and 14th, Tattamagouche and Halifax! Check the shows section for more info.
