The Coast released their Best Of Music issue yesterday, and my name appeared as the 2nd runner up for Best Artist/Band to Enjoy Quietly. Isn't that exciting? Damn though, if I knew people would vote for me, I would have encouraged it! I'm very flattered and surprised, especially because the other two names are the winner Jenn Grant and 1st runner up Amelia Curran, and to have my name anywhere on a page with theirs makes me a happy, happy girl.

Check out the article on The Coast's website here: http://www.thecoast.ca/halifax/best-artistband-to-listen-to-quietly-2009/BestOf?oid=1577465

Had a great time last night playing two shows - thought I would be running around wildly, stressing out, but everyone was tolerant of my insane scheduling. The audiences did a great job at doing justice to the "Enjoy Quietly" nomination! I was particularly impressed with the crowd at the Rock Island Cafe crowd - it was pretty packed in there and I barely had to sing above a whisper. Thank you for treating me so well!

New music video for So Far Apart is up online! Shot by Danny Boos last fall, it combines performance, home videos, and mementos from childhood. Enjoy!

New photos up! Taken by Cristina Naccarato - me performing at the Phog Lounge and at Mike Hargreaves' house last month in Windsor, ON. Six photos have been added to the media section, go check them out, and then visit Cristina online here.

Had a great weekend in Sydney for the ECMA! Met a lot of lovely people, had a great time playing music, checking out new music, consuming alcohol, and sleeping very little. Can't wait to go back and do it next year!
